Our trip begins with lunch at
one of San Antonio’s most well-known Mexi-
can food restaurants, La Fogata. Choose your
entree from these options: Pollo a laMexicana
(grilled chicken topped with green onions); Tacos al Carbon
(grilled beef); or Vegetarian Chile Relleno.
After lunch, we will travel to the Institute of Texan Cultures for
a leisurely on-your-own tour. We have the opportunity to see the
show at the multimedia Dome Theater with its 36 screens, plus
time to explore the interactive exhibits and displays that tell the
stories of Texas. Ticket cost includes transportation, lunch, and
museum admission.

The Fantasticks
is the story of two neighboring
fathers who trick their children, Luisa and Matt, into falling in
love by pretending to feud. A small, intimate theater that seats
450, you will be treated to large, comfortable leather chairs for a
close-up and personal performance by some of Fredericksburgs’
best actors and singers. Drinks and snacks will be available for
a small donation. Afterward, we will stop at Wildseed Farms
for treats and eats—maybe a glass of your favorite brew in the
Bluebonnet Biergarten. Ticket cost includes transportation and
matinee.

San Marcos River Tubing & Dick’s Car Museum
Thursday, August 28, $46 pp
Depart SCPL 8:45 a.m.; Return 5 p.m.
Calling all river rats! Grab sun-
screen, floppy hats and old tennis shoes for a
fun float on the river! Before hitting the river,
we will tour Dick’s Classic Car Museum and
have an indoor picnic lunch. Lunch includes
Dee’s hamand cheese onmulti-grain bread, potato chips, pickle,
brownie and bottled water. After lunch you can use Dick’s rest-
rooms to change into your swimsuits; then it’s toobin’ time! Float
on tubes with bottoms to the Rio Vista rock rapids, where you can
choose to exit or go further and ‘shoot’ the three-tiered rapids for
added chill and thrill! The float trip takes approximately one to
one and a half hours. Shuttles run every 20 minutes, returning
to the starting point for restrooms, snack bar and gift shop; if
time allows, you may float again.
Note: Youmust be able to swim, walk on uneven ground,
and get in and out of the water. You are required to sign
a release. Styrofoam and glass are not allowed on the
river. Bring sunscreen, hat, towel, and suitable footwear.
The bus will be locked while we float to safeguard your
personal items.
Ticket cost includes transportation, museum, tubes, and lunch.

More than four decades since CSN first
harmonized in Laurel Canyon, and played
their first-ever concert as a trio at the legend-
ary Woodstock festival, its members’ creative
partnership is one of the most influential and
enduring in the industry. Through changing times and acclaimed
solo careers, Crosby, Stills & Nash have continued to tour and
record as “three together.”We will stop at the Domain for dinner
on your own at your choice of restaurant. Ticket cost includes
transportation and exceptional seating at the Long Center.
