Top Golf - Austin
Monday, September 29, $38 pp
Depart SCPL 8:15 a.m.; Return 1:15 p.m.
Top Golf is the ultimate in golf entertain-
ment—three stories of driving bays coupled
with game rooms, sports bars and a roof top
lounge. Envision a new kind of golf experience
that combines competitionwith entertainment.
Players hit micro-chipped golf balls at targets on a 215-yard
outfield. It’s a larger-than-life-size outdoor dartboard for golf,
where the high-tech balls instantly score each shot’s accuracy and
distance. The closer to the center, or “bull’s-eye,” you get and the
farther out you hit your ball, themore points you score. With golf
pros offering tips as they stroll the tee line and climate-controlled
hitting bays, Top Golf is flat-out fun for any age or skill level.
Our group of 24 will have six hitting bays with four players in
each bay for two hours. Clubs and unlimitedmicro-chipped balls
are provided, or you may bring your own favorite driver. There
are six different programmed games to play depending on skill
levels and your competitive spirit.
Drinks and eats are on your own. The extensive food and bever-
age menu will impress even the pickiest foodie, and Top Golf’s
wait staff will be glad to deliver direct to your bay or you may
choose to have a relaxing bite after your game.
Ticket cost includes transportation, two hours of Top Golf, and
$5 lifetime membership card.

delicious Austin food trucks will be in one loca-
tion—and what a location! Rolling right onto
the City Terrace fronting the Long Center with the scenic Austin
skyline, the trucks bring everyonemore than enough flavors and
varieties of food for anyone’s taste. Entertainment andmusic will
be provided by the LongCenter. The food trailers do not take credit
cards so bring cash in small bills, and bring a hearty appetite.
Tables and chairs are provided but if you wish, you may bring
a blanket to “chill out.” Ticket cost includes transportation only.

Dan Moody Home & Georgetown Courthouse
Tours with lunch at Southwestern University
Friday, September 26, $32 pp
Depart SCPL 10 a.m.; Return 4 p.m.
Dan Moody Jr., a Texas hero
and legend, spent his whole life in the Taylor/
Georgetown area. Todaywewill learn about his
life—fromhis birth inTaylor towhatmade this
“local boy” so famous. To begin, we head to the
Georgetown Square for a tour of the Courthouse, where Moody
spent many a day and night. We will split into two groups with
half touring the courthouse and half touring the Williamson
County Museum (then reversing). Afterward, it’s off to South-
western University for their all-you-can-eat buffet.
Next, our visit to Taylor begins with a driving tour of their down-
town and views of the gorgeous old homes. Since Moody’s home
is quite small, half of the group will go upstairs while the other
half will tour downstairs (then reverse). You must be able to
climb stairs. Our tour ends at the 40-year-old Kolache Shop
that takes cash only.
