Horticulture Club’s Fall Plant Sale - NEW!

It’s time for the Horticulture Club’s Fall Plant
Sale! A large variety of landscape plants with a
focus on Texas Native and adapted plants will
be available for purchase. You can also pick
up lots of fall vegetables and herbs, as well as
Irises from the Iris SIG.
About two weeks before the sale, we will have a list of available
plants on our website:

A Capella Texas - Performance

Open Seating Cabaret Style
Austin has been home to a chapter of the Bar-
bershop Harmony Society since 1961. In the
past four decades, the Austin Chord Ranger
Chorus and Quartets have performed around
town thousands of times. Hundreds of local
singers have joined in the fun as the group has encouraged and
preserved the uniquely American art formknown as Barbershop
Music. Now the Rangers have a new name and a new vision
which is called A Capella Texas.
Blessing of the Animals - NEW!
Friday, October 3, 9:15 a.m., CCAM
The fifth annual Blessing of the Animals will
take place on Friday, October 3, at 9:15 a.m. at
the CowanCreekAmphitheater. The beginning
of the ceremony will feature Denis Marshall
on the Shofar, and CharlieWelshwill bless the
animals. Nancy Robohn and Rae Gil will lead everyone in song
with their guitar playing and lovely voices, and Gary Starns will
also gift us with his singing between readings and prayers. Tom
Olsen, Linda Dwyer, Jo Marshall and Judy Worth will also be
on-hand to helpmake the celebration of St. Francis Day a joyous
occasion. All are invited to join, including pets.
Dogs must be
on leads and cats in carriers.
