Garage Sale - NEW!
Saturday, October 4, SCPL, 8 a.m. - Noon
$45 per booth space & table
Is it time to get rid of things you no longer need
or use? Do you have things that are cluttering
your home and garage? Purchase your garage
sale space at the Member Services Office or
online. This public event is hosted twice a year
for Sun Citians to sell their goods and/or shop for new treasure.
All Garage Sale spaces are the size of a parking spot. Each
space is $45, includes a table, and will be available for setup on
Friday, October 3, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• No setup or vehicle traffic in booth area on Saturdaymorning.
• Security officers will be onsite to patrol the sale area from
3 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday; however, the safety and
security of your sale items cannot be guaranteed.
Kiwanis will offer free pick-ups for donations every Friday
morning starting August 1 through September 26. To make
an appointment for pick up, contact Dick Lesh at 512-864-2499.
Kiwanis also gives tax deductible receipts for donations.
Oldies But Goodies Dance - NEW!
Sunday, October 5, 7 p.m., SCB, $1 pp*
The Oldies But Goodies Dance Group is where
the young at heart dance to the classic hits
of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. The group’s Octo-
ber dance will be held on Sunday, October 5
at 7 p.m. in the Social Center Ballroom, and
will be to recorded music.
*Tickets will go on sale Monday,
September 15 at 205 Scurry Pass.
Tickets will be at a rolled
back to the ’50s price of $1 per person—there is no limit on the
number of tickets one person can buy. If you would like a table,
put $10 in an envelope with your name and we will reserve a
table for you. Amaximumof 300 tickets will be available for sale.

Now you can find out how to lend a helping
hand in the Georgetown area as well as right
here in Sun City Texas! The Nonprofit Fair
and Volunteer Summit have joined forces to
offer you a one-stop-shop for getting plugged
into the community. Meet with more than 40 local nonprofits to
see what services are available and whether there is a cause you
are interested in supporting. We will also have representatives
from Sun City Texas organizations to tell you more about how
you can volunteer to help right here in your neighborhood. Will

This year, the Garage Sale set-up time
is on Friday, October 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Garage
Sale is open for shoppers on Saturday, October 4 from
8 a.m. to noon. We will not allow any set up on Saturday
morning and no items will be sold prior to 8 a.m. Saturday,
October 4. These rules were designed with safety in mind
for all participants and the rules will be enforced.
