Roger Tibbs - Miles of Memories

Roger Tibbs, from New Zealand, caught the
attention of a recording company called Music
World, whose executives believed he had the
potential to produce a successful recording.
With their encouragement, he made an all-
yodelling album called
YodellingMan
, which became a runaway
success and later won that label’s Gold Disc Award for strong
sales, as well as the Gold Guitar Award for the highest-selling
album in Australia at the Tamworth NSW Awards in 1987.
He remains the only male New Zealand artist to be awarded a
Tamworth Gold Guitar.

. Elwood P. Dowd is an
affable man who claims to have an unseen
(and presumably imaginary) friend Harvey—
whom Elwood describes as a six-foot, one-
and-one-half-inch tall pooka resembling an anthropomorphic
rabbit. Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets. His
social-climbing sister, Veta, increasingly finds his eccentric
behavior embarrassing. She decides to have him committed to
a sanitarium to spare her and her daughter, Myrtle Mae, from
future embarrassment.
Harvey
runs for five enjoyable nights
with cabaret seating for $14, October 22, 25-26; and theatre
seating for $12, October 23-24. Reserved seating means you
don’t have to hurry for a good seat! Directed by Peggy Lewis.

17th Annual Hill Country Arts & Crafts
Fair – NEW!

This craft fair is host to Texas and surround-
ing area artists who hand-make their goods.
Are you looking for unique one-of-a-kind
presents for the holidays? Come to the Arts
& Crafts Fair for an easy walk-through of
our craft centers, where the Creative Clay & China, Fabric &
Fiber, Photography, Stained Glass and Visual Arts Clubs have
astounding crafts for amazing prices. Then stroll through the
Ballroom, where over 50 exhibitors are set up for you to peruse
and shop. You’ll also find many exhibitors stationed outside in
the parking lot and on the back patio of the Social Center! This
event is only once a year. Be sure to mark your calendar!

No need to travel for Thanksgiving celebrations.
It’s a lot of work to make Thanksgiving din-
ner, so this year leave the ‘day before’ cooking
to Simply Great Cuisine with a full-service
buffet of traditional turkey, stuffing, mashed
potatoes with gravy, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce,
rolls, and your choice of pumpkin, pecan or apple pie. Tea and
water will be served.

Home for the Holidays

starlit cast, including Robert Downey Jr., Dylan McDermott,
Holly Hunger and Anne Bancroft, lends acting expertise to a
movie that explores the stressors of gathering with one’s family
during the holidays.
