Join us for a
San Antonio Thanksgiving! Our hotel desti-
nation again will be the beautiful four-star
Hilton Palacio del Rio, one of Sun City’s fa-
vorites. After check-in, you will have time to
go to your room for a while before we meet for our Thanksgiv-
ing feast. This buffet is absolutely outstanding in both selec-
tion and quality. It will most likely be one of your best meals
ever! Not to mention in such a beautiful setting. What a de-
lightful way to celebrate the holiday with others from our
community!
After our meal, you will have some time for yourself before
boarding our private riverboats for an evening cruise. This
will be different from what we have done in the past, as the
darkness will let the lights on the river come to life.
You may spend Friday as you wish. There are many options
within walking distance of the hotel: Rivercenter Mall shopping
for day-after-Thanksgiving sales; exploring the Alamo; taking
the glass elevator to the top of the Towers of the Americas; visit-
ing UT San Antonio’s Institute of Texan Cultures; you can even
take a trolley ride if you want to venture farther. Whenever you
want to take a break, you will be able to return to your room.
Friday evening we will meet back at the Hilton for dinner and
to view the parade from the warmth of the indoors (you may
go outside to see the parade if you wish, but no guarantee
the weather will cooperate!) We will be in the Stetson Room,
which boasts four windows for viewing, and we will have
waiters exclusively for us!
On Saturday morning, you may enjoy your accommodations
or go out for a final river stroll. Check out is at noon, and
then we board our bus to return to Sun City Texas. On the
way home, we will make one rest stop where you may pick up
something to eat.
Note: You may purchase two double occupancy tickets,
so you may ask non-Sun City friends to go with you if
you wish. However, no one under age 18 is allowed to
attend with our group.

cruise (including tip), Friday night dinner with parade, and
two nights at the Hilton Palacio del Rio.
