Plans are being made for a great selection of baskets and items
for the silent auction. Other “gimmicks” are planned for your
entertainment pleasure, so be sure to tuck some extra bucks
away for an afternoon of fun and fashion. Fashions are still
being arranged for. Chico’s will be returning with some great
fashions. A delicious lunch will be prepared for us by The Cot-

Now you can find out how to help in the George-
town area AND right here in Sun City Texas!
The Nonprofit Fair and Volunteer Summit have
joined forces to offer you a one-stop-shop for
getting plugged into the community. Meet with
more than 40 local nonprofits to see what services are available
and whether there is a cause you are interested in supporting.
We will also have representatives from Sun City Texas orga-
nizations to tell you more about how you can volunteer to help
here in your neighborhood. Will your favorite nonprofit attend
the Fair? Have the organization contact Dick.Baker@sctexas.
org for registration information.
Garage Sale
Saturday, October 5, 8 a.m. - 12 noon
It is time to get rid of things you no longer need
or use. Do you have things that are cluttering
your home and garage? Purchase your garage
sale spot at Member Services Office.
Twice a year the Sun City Texas hosts a pub-
lic garage sale for Sun Citians. The Garage Sale is a great
event for shopping, buying and selling household items.
All booths are $45 and include a table and will be available
for set-up Friday, October 4, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• No set-up Saturday morning – no vehicle traffic in these
spaces Saturday morning
• Booths will include a table.
• Security officers will be onsite to patrol the sale area from
6 p.m. Friday to 8 a.m. Saturday; however, the safety and
security of your sale items cannot be guaranteed.
• It is advisable to cover all items due to weather hazard.
All Garage Sale spaces are the size of a parking spot. Once you
purchase your space youwill be issued a number that corresponds
with a parking space number in the Social Center parking lot.
Spaces are purchased at the Member Services Office (where
all tickets are sold).
Members of the Kiwanis Club of Sun City Texas will be selling hot
and cold drinks, donuts, breakfast tacos andmore during the sale.

is on Friday, October 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Garage
Sale is open for shoppers on Saturday, October 5 from
8 a.m. to noon. We will not allow any set up on Saturday
morning and
no items will be sold prior to 8 a.m.
