Meteor Curiosities: Strange Flashes in the Sky
Meteors, often called shooting stars or fall-
ing stars, are well known. They are even
predictable, appearing the same dates each
year; however, some meteors display unusual
characteristics. Some explode, some leave long
trails, and some apparent meteors are caused by unusual events.
Surprisingly, even owls have been involved in some meteors.
