4/5 – 11:30 a.m., COPs Team 2
– Resident stopped
and asked us to check out a “scruffy-looking” man
who looked like he was “casing” the neighborhood.
Team reported this information to the Georgetown
Police via their non-emergency number and patrolled the
neighborhood. Did not find the man.
4/13 – 10:45 a.m., COPs Team 1
– A resident with a flat
tire was parked on Sun City Blvd. close to the corner of Cool
Spring Way. A CA employee was parked behind the resident’s
vehicle and was changing the flat tire. We parked the COPs
car appropriately with all flashing lights on, put out cones
and directed traffic with the red flag to protect the parked
vehicles and people involved.
5/4 – 7:30 p.m., COPs Team 1
– Found the two gates and one
rolling door open at the Cowan Creek Golf Course Maintenance
Yard. The door appeared to be damaged. Contacted Gary
Wilson, the CA Director of Golf Maintenance. He advised us
to close and lock the gates and he would take care of the door.
5/23 – 4:15 p.m., COPs Team 2
– Resident called about a
broken down vehicle on Sotol Pass. The COPs team checked
on it, and thought it looked suspicious. Called the George-
town Police’s non-emergency number and Officer Rodriguez
responded. He checked the owner’s license and found she had
four outstanding warrants, so he arrested her and had the
vehicle towed away.
5/24 – 11:50 a.m., COPs Team 2
– Found the sprinklers at the
corner of Del Webb Blvd. and Trail of the Flowers were water-
ing the street and cars quite well. Notified Carlton Mathis,
CA Water Manager, of the problem.
5/29 – 7:30 p.m., COPs Team 1
– Found all lights and fans
turned on at Legacy Hills Park Pavilion with no one around.
Turned off lights and fans.
6/2 – 7:30 a.m., COPs Team 1
– Flagged down by a resident
who asked if we could help a neighbor into their car so that
the neighbor could be driven to the hospital. Assisted as able.
6/5 – 5:50 p.m., COPs Team 2
– Monitor reported a resident’s
request to check on a young man soliciting in their neighbor-
hood. Checked neighborhood and found a man resting on the
grass. Checked and found he was soliciting for a pest control
company and had the proper permit.
6/11 – 9 p.m., COPs Team 2
– Reported to the CA Monitor
that a deer was hit on Del Webb Blvd. near Scissortail; Moni-
tor reported it to CA Maintenance staff.
6/23 – 12:15 p.m., COPs Team 1
– Protected resident changing
a flat (shredded) tire on Cool Spring Way. The team appropri-
ately parked the COPs vehicle with its flashing lights on, put
out cones and directed traffic around the two vehicles, while
wearing a safety vest and holding a red flag. The resident
replaced the tire with a donut spare, but it appeared to have
quite low pressure. The team followed the resident home at 5
mph with all lights flashing.
