ike other homeowner associations,
Sun City Texas has a steady flow of
residents moving into our commu-
nity and residents moving out. With this
issue, I wanted to do something fun and
provide everyone with various fun facts
about our community. Hope you learn
something about SCT that you may not
have known and enjoy reading these sub-
missions from your staff.

PROPERTY FACTS:
• We have a bat cave on our property
• We have over 30 caves on our property,
each with a specific name
• Sun City is built on a portion of the 4T
Ranch, which was a cattle operation
involved in gene splitting
• A cornerstone of the 4T Ranch house is
still located on a residential lot in N26
• More than 11,000 books are stocked in
our wonderful library, maintained by
a great group of volunteers!
• There are over 34,830 linear feet of
nature trails throughout Sun City
• 108 acres of campus have been cleared
for Firewise

per month). That’s one for each resident
of Corpus Christi, Texas.

Come to the
Firewise Town Hall!

National Fire Prevention Week is
October 6-13. The Sun City Texas
Firewise Group will host its annual
Firewise Town Hall on Wednesday,
October 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the Social
Center Ballroom. Presenters will
include members of the Firewise
Group, the Texas A&M Forest Ser-
vice, and the Georgetown Fire De-
partment.
The town hall will highlight Fire-
wise activities of the past year, as
required to maintain our Firewise
Communities USA certification.
We will also review actions to take
around your home to minimize the
risk of a fire. The Texas A&M For-
est Service will supply updates on
changes in the Firewise program.
The Georgetown Fire Department
will provide information about fires
in the home, including kitchen fires.
Firefighters will also have fire appa-
ratus on display in the Social Center
parking lot, as availability permits.
Mark your calendars to attend this
very important annual event! Re-
freshments will be served.
October 4 and 5 bring
Nonprofit/Volunteer
Fair and Garage Sale
Fall in Sun City Texas brings a
myriad of events for you to enjoy.
On October 4, learn how you can
give back to the community at the
Nonprofit/Volunteer Fair. The follow-
ing day, attend the biannual Garage
Sale, where you can give away or sell
your extra “stuff” (or even get some-
thing that’s new to you!). Mark your
calendars for these popular events!
