Top Golf – Austin - NEW!
Monday, September 29, $38 pp
Depart SCPL 8:15 a.m.; Return 1:15 p.m.
Envision a newkind of golf experience that
combines competitionwith entertainment. Play-
ers hit micro-chipped golf balls at targets on
a 215-yard outfield. It’s a larger-than-life-size
outdoor dartboard for golf where the high-tech
balls instantly score each shot’s accuracy and distance. The closer
to the center, or “bull’s-eye,” you get and the farther out you hit
your ball, the more points you score. With golf pros offering tips
as they stroll the tee line and climate-controlled hitting bays,
Top Golf is flat-out fun for any age or skill level. Top Golf is the
ultimate in golf entertainment—three stories of driving bays
coupled with game rooms, sports bars and a roof top lounge.
Our group of 24 will have six hitting bays with four players in
each bay for two hours. Clubs and unlimitedmicro-chipped balls
are provided, or you may bring your own favorite driver. There
are six different programmed games to play depending on skill
levels and your competitive spirit.
Drinks and eats are on your own. The extensive food and bever-
age menu will impress even the pickiest foodie, and Top Golf’s
wait staff will be glad to deliver direct to your bay or you may
choose to have a relaxing bite after your game.
So let’s give it a shot! Who will be Sun City’s Top Golf-er?
Ticket cost includes transportation, two hours of Top Golf, and
$5 lifetime membership card.

Trailer Food Tuesday at the Long Center -
NEW!
Tuesday, September 30, $18 pp
Depart SCPL 4:30 p.m.; Return 9:45 p.m.
Our attempt to enjoy Trailer Food Tues-
day was rained out in May, so we are going
to give it another try! Approximately 10-12 of
the delicious Austin food trucks will be in one
location—and what a location! Rolling right
onto the City Terrace fronting the Long Center with the scenic
Austin skyline, the trucks bring everyone more than enough
flavors and varieties of food for anyone’s taste. Entertainment
and music will be provided by the Long Center. As the sun sets
and the lights come up, what a view!
The food trailers do not take credit cards so bring cash in small
bills, and bring a hearty appetite. You can eat as much or as
little as you wish since you will be paying for your own food.
Tables and chairs are provided but if you wish, you may bring
a blanket to “chill out.”
Ticket cost includes transportation only.
Deadline to purchase tickets is September 26.

Gone With the Wind Exhibit and Susan
Dickinson Home Tour with lunch at Carillon
in Austin - NEW!
Wednesday, October 1, $40 pp
Depart SCPL 10 a.m.; Return 4 p.m.
Today we travel to Austin for our
“Two Women Survivors” adventure. We begin
at the home of Susan Dickinson, who survived
the Battle of the Alamo and carried the news
of its fall to Sam Houston, leading to Santa
Anna’s defeat. As a true Texas survivor, we will learn about her
life and tour her small home. As an added treat, we will also tour
the O’Henry home next door.
Then it is on to lunch for a fabulous buffet at Carillon on the
University of Texas campus. You can have your fill of everything
fromsalads, soups, entrees and dessert in an elegant atmosphere.
The highlight of our trip will be a visit to the Harry Ransom
Center to view 300 original items from David Selznick’s epic
movie
Gone With the Wind
. This 1936 movie was covered in
controversy before a single frame was ever shot, once again pit-
ting the North against the South. The exhibit reveals surprising
stories about the making of this filmduring Hollywood’s Golden
Age. See behind the scenes photographs, audition footage and
gowns worn by Vivian Leigh as the ambitious survivor Scarlett
O’Hara. These costumes will all be shown together for the first
time in 25 years.
Ticket cost includes transportation, entrance fees and lunch.
Deadline to purchase tickets is September 24.
