After lunch you can use Dick’s restrooms to change into your
swimsuits; then it’s toobin’ time!
Note: Youmust be able to swim, walk on uneven ground and get
in and out of the water. You are required to sign a release. Sty-
rofoam and glass are not allowed on the river. Bring sunscreen,
hat, towel, and suitable footwear. The bus will be locked while
we float to safeguard your personal items.

Travel to College Station!
Our first stop will be the Presidential Library,
which reveals the challenges and influences
of the 41st President’s life and career through
photographs, films, 40,000 artifacts on rotating
display, and more than a million audiovisual records. Visit the
Orientation Room in the rotunda to watch a 30-minute informa-
tive film. A self-guided tour includes Bush’s Camp David Office,
the White House Situation Room, and the replica Oval Office.
Note: All visitorsmust pass through a security checkwith
a metal detector. No weapons allowed. All bags will be
X-rayed and possibly searched by security staff.
Our next stop will be the Texas A&MUniversity College of Vet-
erinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where we will have
a student-led walking tour. This school is one of only 31 colleges
of veterinary medicine in the U.S. and Canada. We will see the
academic classrooms and both the Small and Large Animal
Teaching Hospitals.
Note: This tour requires quite a bit of walking as well as
some stairs, so know your limitations.

OUTINGS
After a full morning of exhibits and touring, we will have lunch
at Johnny Carino’s. Lunch combo consists of house salad; pasta
entrée: Chicken Fettucini ORSpaghetti andMeatballs ORAngel
Hair with Artichokes; tea or coffee; and mini Italian Chocolate
Cake (a rich, warm chocolate cake topped with sweet chocolate
icing, toffee, and almonds; served with vanilla ice cream). There
will be no menu substitutions available.

lunch.

View 150 show-stopping pieces,
inspired by the Greco-Roman classics, along
with sketches and materials from the luxuri-
ous jewelers’ archives! Sortino Bulgari, aGreek
silversmith, moved toRome and opened his first
shop in 1884. By the 20th century, the brand included jewels,
watches and even hotels and gained popularity with the jet-set.
Included in this exhibit are several pieces from the Elizabeth
Taylor collection.
In addition, we will see artifacts from Battleship Texas and
the flag that flew over the ship as it participated in the D-Day
invasion. You will have until 3 p.m. to tour the exhibits on your
own. Not to be missed is the Gem Vault—custom-made jewelry
from precious minerals.
On the way to Houston, we will stop at Buc-ee’s. For dinner we’ll
stop at Chappell Hill Deli for a barbecue dinner about 4:30 p.m.
When we arrive, you will have your choice of brisket, chicken or
sausagewith two sides; coffee, tea or soda; and cherry or pecan pie.
Note: Wear comfortable shoes. If desired, youmay bring
your own water and lunch to eat on the bus.
