Pooch Parade
9 a.m., Line up in designated area in front of Social
Center, $1 per pooch
Come see these adorable pets strut their stuff for the honor of
being “Most Patriotic Pooch.” The competition is tough, and
walking the pets through a throng of clapping attendees is often
tougher. You’ll love seeing all these adorable pooches in their
patriotic ensembles. Purchase $1 ticket for your pooch to partici-
pate.

wear all the red, white and blue you can
find in your closet! Celebrate Indepen-
dence Day with your community all day
long! This is a wonderful opportunity to
spend time with family and friends as
you sing Happy Birthday to Uncle Sam, wave to the pooch
and people parade participants, and enjoy the amazing
harmonies of the Sun City Singers.
Be sure to pack a lawn chair for the parade festivities and
bring your own water. See the parade route map at the bot-
tom right of the page. Join us for a fun day of celebration!
This year we have an added attraction at night! Enjoy a free
movie,
What About Bob?
(1991, rated PG, 99 minute run
time) at the Cowan Creek Amphitheater at 8:30 p.m. – or a
little bit after depending onwhen the sun actually sets. Bring
your beverages and snacks, lawn chairs and blankets to
enjoy being under the stars and to watch this classic comedy.

Every time you travel on an outing
planned by the Lifestyle Department,
you will receive a card to fill out and
turn in at the Monitor’s desk. We will
draw a card monthly and the lucky
winner will receive a 50% discount on a future CA bus outing of
your choice! (Note: Excludes overnight outings). We will notify
the winner via phone and email.

Prepare yourselves for the parade of golf carts, marching groups,
bikers, families, neighborhoods, clubs—all of Sun City Texas!
Be a part of the parade, or bring your lawn chair and watch

Come celebrate our freedom and salute those
who defend our liberty. You will want to in-
clude the SunCity Singers concert, “Stand Tall,
America,” in your IndependenceDay plans. The
concert will feature both patriotic andmilitary
songs to rouse your spirits. Don’t miss it!
Join your neighbors and come out not only to hear an uplifting
concert but to join in the singing of some of our most beloved
songs—a wonderful way to honor those who have served or are
