Do you remember those high school dance marathons, rock and
roll music, party favors, sock hop decorations, and balloons, bal-
loons, balloons? Well, it’s never too late to relive those wonderful
days. Come and dance the night away with Greg Hoffman, the
same DJ who played your favorite sock-hop tunes in 2012.

make reservations for themselves and their guests at 101 Daisy
Path. Reservations will be made on a first-come basis. One per-
son can purchase unlimited reservations. Checks can be made
payable to SCTXCA.

Food Book Fair - NEW!
Thursday, September 26, SCB, 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Free!
It’s a Food Book Fair. This year we have rolled
our former Book Fair and Food Fair into one
exciting event for a café-like experience. If you
love to eat and love to read, then don’t miss this
event. This fair brings together writers and
readers to promote their books. While enjoying literary culture,
be sure to purchase food and beverages from our fair vendors.

Scheherazade’s Tales of Fashion is on its way! Mark the date,
October 11, on your calendar so you don’t double-book, and start
thinking about getting your tablemates together for the show.
Tickets will be sold individually, as twosomes, or as larger group-
ings with the tables arranged around the runway to seat 10 per
table. In past years, the show and luncheon have sold out, so be
sure to mark your calendars and make plans to buy your tickets
at The Oaks on September 7.

On May 16, 49 5th grade students from Mitchell Elementary
School who achieved their goals in academics were treated to
a memorable day of fun activities in Sun City Texas.
Thanks to the Tennis, Pickleball, Bocce and Shu”eboard Clubs,
the children learned new sport skills. Several therapy dogs and
their handlers from the Sun City Pet Club put on a fun Rally-O
event for the children.
“Aim for the Sun” was sponsored by residents from N46, 53 and
