and locked White Wing Golf Course
maintenance yard gates.

– 1:15 p.m., COPs Team 1 – Resident
reported person in a van taking pictures
of houses on Trail of the Flowers. Investi-
gated; found that it was the Williamson
County Appraisal District taking pic-
tures for property tax purposes. Informed
CA Office so residents could be notified.
2/18
– 4 p.m., COPs Team 1 – Resident
reported a man and boy were danger-
ously walking on the Legacy Hills Park
dam. No one present when the COPs
car arrived.
2/21
– 2 p.m., COPs Team 2 – Notified
CA Office that there was a large amount
of trash overflowing at dumpster in the
Legacy Hills parking lot.
2/25
– 8:10 p.m., COPs Team 2 – Noti-
fied the City of Georgetown that there
are several downed street signs on Trail
of the Flowers.
3/2
– 9 p.m., COPs Team 1 – Found
Legacy Hills Park gate closed but not
locked. Investigated; found non-resident
in the Pavilion playing guitar and us-
ing other electronic equipment. He was
recording music with background night
sounds and did not want to be disturbed.
He was doing this without permission to
be there. Informed CA Office and asked
him to leave or the police would be called.

– COPs Team 2 – Assisted driver in
the Cool Spring area to find an address.
3/20
– 1:30 p.m., COPs Team 2 – Flagged
down by resident who complained about
large dump trucks speeding through
Whispering Wind Dr. Notified the CA
Office and they said they would check
it out.
3/27
– 7:15 p.m., COPs Team 2 – Moni-
tor requested a welfare check on a man
sitting on a bench. A resident thought
he might need help. Found he was fine,
just enjoying the evening.
3/29
– 11:55 a.m., COPs Team 2 – COPs
office asked us to check for razor blades
in the street at a certain house number
on Breezeway. A resident found some
and thought there might be more. Talked
with this resident and searched further
but did not find any.
Emergencies and disasters can strike without
warning and can force you to evacuate your
home and neighborhood quickly. If a short-term
evacuation is called in Sun City Texas, youmay
receive information regarding the evacuation site
through the CA Communicator, Channel 79, Citizens on Patrol
(COPs), the SunCityAmateur Radio Society (SCARS), or through
your Neighborhood Representative or Emergency Management
Coordinator. Members of the COPs Emergency Response Team
will also be stationed at various locations to direct you to the
appropriate Evacuation Center.
The following locations are short-term evacuation sites in Sun
City Texas.

If you are told to evacuate to a Sun City Texas Evacuation
Center, the following procedures will be in effect:
•When you arrive at an evacuation center, you will be asked to
provide your name, address, phone and Neighborhood numbers.
Residents without pets:
Bring a small Grab ’n Go Bag
with you into the evacuation center, including medications, a
small amount of food such as granola bars, a bottle of water,
a flashlight, a jacket, and anything else for immediate needs.
Notify the shelter volunteers of any needs you may have. Larger
items must be left in your car.
Residents with pets:
Bring personal needs and your pet’s
Grab ’n Go Bag. All pets must be crated or on a leash, and
must wear a current rabies tag. Residents must remain with
and control their pets at all times.
• Injured Residents:
A Basic First Aid Station will be set
up at the Activities Center to assist residents until First Re-
sponders arrive. No pets are allowed and responsibility for
pets must be assumed by the person accompanying an injured
resident to the First Aid Station.
• All normal CA facility rules, such as no smoking and no
weapons, will remain in effect.
• These are short-term evacuation centers only. Sun City
Texas does not have facilities that meet specifications for
long-term housing.
• Members of the news media are not allowed in any of the
evacuation centers. Only the Executive Director, or designee, is
permitted to speak with the news media on behalf of the Com-
munity Association or the Emergency Management Committee.
If you are instructed to evacuate, have your Grab ’n Go Bag
