buffet of beef and chicken fajitas with guacamole, chili con queso,
rice, beans and all the trimmings. Coffee, iced tea and soda are
included along with special prices for other beverages. Did I
mention dessert? Mexican apple pie or Mexican brownie! Then
it’s on to the Palmer Event Center where we’ll be seated cabaret
style at tables of 10 on floor level. We do not know the location
of our tables, but the stage is elevated so you will be able to see
and hear this Grammy Award-winning ensemble based in Los
Angeles. Their founder, Nati Cano, was born and raised in Jalisco,
Mexico, wheremariachi music began as a regional folk style. Mr.
Cano and the ensemble collaborated with Linda Ronstadt on her
1987 album, performing live and bringing mariachi music to
national prominence. Music features violins, guitars, trumpets
and singers dressed in traditional white pants and colored shirts.
Note: Deadline to purchase ticket is May 31.
Ticket cost includes transportation, dinner and concert.

Cedar Park Rodeo
Saturday, June 22, $36 pp
Depart SCPL 6:30 p.m.; Return 10:30 p.m.
It’s rodeo time in Cedar Park, so grab your
hat, pull up your boots and let’s head down to
the air-conditioned comfort of Cedar ParkCen-
ter. We’ll be entertained by cowboys from all
over the country as they try―with their hands,
legs and lots of luck―riding those wild andwoolly horses that are
just itching to get out of their cramped pens. You’ll be amazed
at how the cowboys can stay on a bare-back kicking bull hold-
ing on with one hand. Then there’s the barrel races that test
the horses quickness and sharp turns. Watch the cowboys lasso
a calf, then jump off and tie him down―wow! The clowns steal
the show! Dressed in their Sunday best, they run and jump and
cheer on the cowboys while keeping them safe from the not-so-
tame horses and bulls. We can all enjoy this Texas tradition in
a nice cool arena.
You’ll have plenty of time to roamaround and scout out themany
options of food and drink to purchase on your own.
Note: There is a walk to reach our section and steps to
our seats. Deadline to purchase tickets is May 31.
Ticket cost includes transportation and admission ticket to the
rodeo.
