with a Texas-size sense of humor.

VadimGluzman’s artistry continues
the works of the great violinists of the 19th
and 20th centuries and enlivens it with the
sounds of today. The Israeli violinist was born
in 1973 in Ukraine, where he began studying the violin at age
seven. Beforemoving to Israel in 1990, he studied in Russia and
at the Julliard School and enjoys the support of Isaac Stern. He
plays the 1690 Stradivari, on extended loan to him through the
Stradivari Society of Chicago.
The selections tonight at this Long Center concert are Bernstein’s
Overture to Candide

Violin

and Rimsky-Korsakov’s

Dinner before the concert will be at TRIO in the Four Seasons,
beginning with their famous green salad and herb vinaigrette,
followed by the entrée of chicken piccata with lemon butter sauce
and capers, servedwith roasted carrots andTexas olive oilmashed
potatoes. Dessert is chocolate mousse cake. Coffee, iced tea and
soda are included with an option to purchase additional drinks.

rocked before as you experience some of the
greatest rock and roll music of all time in an
entirely newway! Themusic of Queenwith the
Austin SymphonyOrchestra adds a newand thrilling dimension.
Dress is casual and beer and barbecue on the City Terrace will
be available for purchase prior to the concert.Queen is perhaps
the most sophisticated, sometimes outrageous, always brilliant
and certainly ground-breaking group from the ’70s and ’80s. Join
the band, vocalists, and choir―and of course the orchestra―in
this musical showcase of the legacy of Freddie Mercury, Brian
May, Roger Taylor and JohnDeacon. Youwill have about an hour
before the concert to enjoy the Austin skyline from the terrace.
