The Singers have one rehearsal remain-
ing to prepare for the Independence Day
concert, to be held on Wednesday, July 3
at 11 a.m. in the Sun City Ballroom. It is
titled “Proud to be an American,” and re-
served seat tickets are still on sale online
and at the Member Services Office. Join
your neighbors to hear a heartwarming
concert of song about our country.
We are happy to report that the Singers
recently made a $1,000 donation to Honor
Flight Austin, in memory of former Sun
City Singers member Ralph Johnson. The
money will pay expenses for one World
War II veteran to visit the World War II
memorial in Washington, D.C.
The Singers will be on hiatus after the
concert, in July and August, until August
27 when rehearsals for the Christmas
concert will begin. New members are
welcome! All that is required is a love of
singing, attendance at most rehearsals
and the annual dues of $10. If you would
like to sing in the Christmas concert,
please attend the first or second rehearsal,
Tuesday, August 27 or September 3, at
6:15 p.m.
