The Visual Arts Club of Sun City wel-
comes all Sun City Texas residents.
Information can be obtained by calling
Joyce Hinds, the club’s education chair,
at 512-863-9243. Annual dues are $15.
There are no classes scheduled for July
and August. Our studio will be open for
all VAC members during the summer
months. However, September, October,
and November are packed with classes.
The latest addition to the fall schedule
is Larry Prellop’s oils workshop that
will run on November 5, 6, and 7, from
9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., and is suitable
for all levels of experience. Sign-up rolls
are available for all of the fall classes in
the class notebook, and the schedules
are available online and in the Studio.

alternating weekly play among all three
Sun City golf courses. In addition, golfers
are encouraged to attend our monthly
general meetings which are held on the
second Tuesday of each month.

The Woodworkers Club is open to all Sun
City Texas residents of all skill levels.
All new members are required to take
an Orientation and Safety Class plus a
one-on-one Hands-on
Safety Training Session.
Our training
classes and extensive library help our
members enjoy woodworking.
We have several main projects during
the year: “Toys for Tots,” to provide toys
for less fortunate children at Christmas;
“Camp Discovery,” to provide wooden kit
projects to an American Cancer Society
summer camp for children fighting can-
cer. To raise funds for these projects we
participate in the Hill Country Arts &
Craft Fair.

Social Activities
Zoomers Social Groups include those
with special interest in books; wine and
beer tasting; table games; movies; bowl-
ing; and dining. In addition, there is one
group that sponsors a luncheon with a
speaker focusing on Health, Beauty and
Wellness.
ZOE (Outside Events)
With the summer in full swing, we have
been busy putting together some exciting
outings to keep those of us who remain
in Sun City Texas for the summer an
opportunity to get out and explore new
venues with your fellow Zoomers.
We also are in the process of planning
various outing for the fall and winter
including some exciting tours for our
Zoomer Members. Be sure to check our
Zoomers emails and Zoomers website to
keep up with all the plans your Zoom-
ers Outside Events has planned for the
coming future
ZIE (Inside Events – current mem-
bers only)
Saturday, July 20 is “Casino Night” from
6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Ballroom. The
caterer is Ruby K’s, and dress is casual.
More information to follow.
Sports Activities
The next Zoomers Golf Tournament is
September 15. Following that is the last
golf tournament of the year on October
13.
