A HERO’S QUILT
Linell Szurgot displays a quilt she made for Matt Lofton, a young Iraq/Afghanistan
veteran who is now non-deployable and suers from PTSD. Linell’s son and Matt
attended West Point Military Academy.
The Sun City Quilting SIG makes “Hero Quilts” for the Quilts of Valor Foundation
which are distributed to soldiers deployed from or returned to Texas.
Inset: A patch on the inside corner of the quilt reads: Forever grateful for the
service and sacrifice of you and your family for the United States of America.
Made for you by Linell, Georgetown, Texas.
