  • Have Google or are willing to get a free Google account.Note: If you have Gmail, you have access to Google Docs.

 

Objectives

In this course, you will learn about Google Docs, the basic features, and functionalities. Since Google Docs is an online word processor, you can share and collaborate with multiple people on the same document, tracking revisions, changes, and suggestions all in real time. Google automatically saves as you edit, but the revision history is available if you need to go back to the prior version. By the end, you be able to answer these questions:

  • What is Google Docs and how do I get it?
  • How do I use, save, share, and print documents created in Google Docs?
  • How do I open and edit a Google doc, a Word document, and a PDF?
  • What are the Google Doc ribbons, icons, pull-down menus, and Commands?
  • Can I use Google Docs in Windows, on a Mac, or cellphones?
