Monthly dances provide traditional
country western dancing in the ball-
room. Dances will feature recorded
music or a live band. Ice and water are
provided. Please bring your own bever-
ages and snacks.
Membership is $12 annually and covers
admission to monthly recorded dances;
however, additional fees may be charged
for special events. You can go online to
the Sun City Texas website under Clubs
& Interest Groups to pay dues, or make
a check out to SCTXCA and either drop
it off or mail it to Debbie Williams, 104

This club was formed for the purpose of
promoting golf among Sun City Texas
couples who enjoy casual, competitive
golf in a friendly and welcoming envi-
ronment. Playdays are every third Sat-
urday, rotating around the three Sun
City Texas courses. We have three social
events planned for the upcoming season.

The CGA has players of all skill levels,
so you will always be improving your
game or helping others improve theirs.
Membership is only $15 a year per indi-

Express your creativity with us! In our
five-room studio, members create long-
lasting objects for both practical use and
visual beauty. Equipment, tools, glazes,
brushes and clay are sold to members at
cost and dues are just $12 a year.
The studio is open every day of the week.
Come visit our studio behind the Fabric
&Fiber Club—monitors will gladly guide
you on a short tour and tell you about
upcoming classes.
Ceramics:
Existing forms, such as
plates, bowls, vases, animals, Christmas
trees, and Santa Clauses, can be painted
and glazed to your own design.
Hand Building:
For those who like
to sculpture from scratch, red or white
and low- or high-fire clays are available.
When completed, objects are fired in one
of five resident kilns, operated by expe-
rienced members. Beginners’ classes are
held frequently.
Wheel Throwing:
Wheel throwing is
a unique skill. Six potter’s wheels are
available, and classes are held for begin-
ning and experienced members.
China Painting:
Create your own de-
signs on china! One room and one kiln
are designated for painted china objects.

Ceramic Camp!
The club is hosting
Mayco Ceramic Camp on September
16-17, focusing on glazes and glazing
techniques. Cost is $150, and all ma-
terials will be furnished. Registration
is limited to 24 participants.

system. After August 15, registration
will be open to non-members to fill any
open spots.

The Current Issues Club pro-
vides a nonpartisan environment where
a respectful exchange of ideas among
members promotes discussion and a
deeper understanding of current issues.
August 15 Program:
Members will
explore and discuss the Texas laws per-
taining to Concealed Handgun Licenses
and open carry laws for firearms. All in-
terested member can participate on the
Research Team to prepare the factual
presentation for the program.

This nonpartisan club wel-
comes all points of view and political
party affiliations. Campaigning is not
allowed. The Courtesy Guidelines that
