vents on the floor and why did they use this design? And why
is it named the Long Center? We’ll find out the answers to all
of those questions and many more facts and tidbits about the
gorgeous Long Center in our 45-minute tour of the facility. This
five-year-old center, that sits so uniquely on the shore of Lady
Bird Lake, is a true work of art complimenting the works of ‘live
art’ held in the center.
After the tour, it’s time to eat. We will head to the City Terrace
fronting the Long Center where you are on your own to feast
from a variety of eateries known as the Food Trailers. What
an adventure! Bring your appetite because 8-10 trucks will be
rolling onto the Terrace and of course, they all have something
you must try.
Bring cash—they do not take charge cards.
This will be picnic-style,
so bring your own chair or blanket.
They will have soda to purchase or you may bring your own.
Note: This tour involves steps, standing, and walking
so wear appropriate shoes and know your limitations.
Ticket cost includes transportation and tour. Deadline to purchase
tickets is May 23.
