Meet Rebecca and Jakub, a married couple
who perform a variety show with country,
jazz, show tunes and classical music. Jakub
“Kuba” Kawnik was born in Poland and is a
multi-instrumentalist. He is best known for his
performance on vibraphone, using a specialized four-mallet tech-
nique; he has also mastered the incredibly difficult Theremin.
In addition, he plays drums, marimba, percussion instruments,
piano, guitar, violin, kalimba, flute and handsaw. Rebecca is
a downtown girl with an uptown voice; she incorporates her
Broadway training as well as popular country music. This show
is one that you don’t want to miss!

The Georgetown, Texas Area Car Club
(GTACC) expects around 200 beautiful clas-
sic cars and trucks in their annual car show.
There will be 20 or more competitive classes
with quality awards for the top three in each
class, special awards (Best Paint, Best Engine, Club Participa-
tion, etc.), great food, music, raffles and an auction.

Fish Fry & Silent Auction - NEW!

The Sun City Texas Hunting & Fishing Club
will sponsor their 14th Annual Fish Fry and
Silent Auction on Saturday, May 10 in the So-
cial Center Ballroom. There will be a fantastic
catfish dinner with all the trimmings, as well
as several hundred items available for bid in the silent auc-
tion. Cash or personal checks for auction items will be accepted
from successful bidders; no credit cards.

music group, the Cruisers feature eight of the
Navy’s most dynamic performers. This group takes its name
from the Navy’s versatile, flexible, multi-missioned ship—the
cruiser—and the band lives up to their namesake by having

and standards, rhythm and blues, classic rock, adult contem-

Donald Braswell II – America’s Got
Talent Finalist

Sun City Texas is honored to present Don-
ald Braswell II, a classical crossover tenor
and composer. Braswell was on a fast track
to become an internationally acclaimed op-
era singer when he suffered a car accident in
1995 that made him unable to speak for almost two years. In
2008 he was one of five top finalists on
America’s Got Talent

which gave him another chance at a career in entertainment.
