Before we visit the library, we will enjoy an early lunch at a
Dallas landmark, Campisi’s Egyptian Restaurant. Don’t let
the name fool you! This Italian Restaurant began in 1904 as
a grocery store. In 1946 it became a “Pizza Pie” restaurant
becoming the first restaurant in Dallas to serve pizza. At its
present location onMockingbird Lane since 1950, it is the oldest
Italian Restaurant in Texas. Our combination plate includes
spaghetti with meatballs, ravioli and lasagna complete with
salad and garlic bread.
When we arrive at the Library, you will have to pass through
a security check with metal detector. All bags will be x-rayed
and searched.
On the way to Dallas, we will stop at Collin Street Bakery
and we will make a fast-food stop in Waco on the way home.

The Impossible Dream
musical!
This multi-award winning masterpiece paved
the way for
Les Miserables
and other shows,
stretching them frommusicals to deeply mov-
ing stories based on classical literature. We will enter the
mind and world of Don Quixote as he begins his quest for the
impossible dream. His good deeds and innocence are in sharp
contrast to a world filled with darkness and despair. This fun-
loving musical is the triumph of a man over his follies. And
the Long Center, with its gorgeous view of the Austin skyline,
is an added pleasure.
