In Company with Angels – Waco - NEW!
Friday, January 17, $35 pp
Depart SCPL 8:30 a.m.; Return 5 p.m.
Making its Texas debut in Waco,
this traveling exhibit of seven exquisite Tif-
fany stained glass windows is nothing short
of inspiring. The eight foot high, backlit lancet
windows depict the angels addressed in Revelation, chapters
2 - 3. Our visit will reveal the mysterious history of these
windows and give us insight into the man who created them,
Louis Comfort Tiffany, son of “The King of Diamonds.”
We will also take a tour of the Grand Lodge of Texas - Masonic
Museum. Many of the men that fought for Texas freedomwere
Masons, and this museum houses artifacts ranging from a
lock of Sam Houston’s hair to Ben Milam’s gun.
Lunch will be on your own with a wide choice of fast food
restaurants. No harm in a burger and fries once in a while,
especially when you top it off with a Dr. Pepper Float, right?
That’s what will complete our self-guided tour of the Dr. Pep-
per Museum. If you’d like to have fun with a scavenger hunt,
we will provide you with a list of items to find as you tour.
Everyone gets a float, but the best “scavenger” get the “prize”!
Note: This is a walking tour with multiple stops. Please
know your limitations.
Ticket cost includes transportation, tour fees, and Dr. Pepper
Float.
