Brooks Crossing – Country Bluegrass

Brooks Crossing is an American Country
and Bluegrass female gospel group based
out of Bertram, Texas. This family group of
performers consists of Misty Richard Crow,
Brandi Richard Brizendine and Ashley Rich-
ard Amidon – all of whom are sisters and daughters of Don
and Linda Richard. It is evident that the girls grew up in an
environment surrounded by music which included country,
bluegrass, rockabilly, folk, contemporary, and gospel. Brooks
Crossing was honored to be nominated for Bluegrass Artist of
the Year in 2012 through the I.C.G.M.A. They will perform a
variety of country, bluegrass and gospel songs in our ballroom.

Arts & Crafts Fair

Are you looking for unique one-of-a-kind
presents for the holidays? Come to the Arts &
Crafts Fair for an easy walk-through of our
craft centers, where the Creative Clay &China,
Fabric & Fiber, Photography, Stained Glass
and Visual Arts Clubs have astounding crafts
for amazing prices. Then stroll through the Ballroom, where
over 50 exhibitors are set up for you to peruse and shop. You’ll
also find many exhibitors stationed outside in the parking lot
and on the back patio of the Social Center! Mark your calendar!
Veterans Day Ceremony
Monday, November 11, 11 a.m., VMP
Everyone is welcome to come and honor our vet-
erans at the Veterans Day ceremony. The East
View High School band, orchestra and choir
will provide music beginning at 10:45 a.m. The
guest speaker will be Brigadier General Clark
W. McMasters, Jr., Commanding General of the 13th Sustainment
Command at Fort Hood. One of the trees behind the Memorial
Wall and a plaque will be dedicated in memory of General Ben-
nie Davis, U. S. Air Force Retired – a former resident of Sun
City Texas who recently passed away. Wreaths will be placed at
the Memorial Wall and the Williamson County Memorial Wall.
Seven-hundred folding chair will be placed at the Memorial,
or guests are invited to bring their folding chair and sit under
the trees. The Community Association will serve refreshments
on the Social Center patio after the ceremony.

Friday, November 1, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Oaks,

& jackets. You can try on your “finds” in private
rooms. Most items will range from $4 to $35,
with boutique items up to $50. Come early for the best selection.

This free event also includes free beverages and holiday music.

ber that you are sharing space with 55 other residents
on your outing:
• Arrive at the bus 30 minutes prior to departure from
Sun City for check-in and boarding.
• Keep cell phone talk to a minimum on the bus.
• Avoid the use of strong perfume and/or cologne.
(Scents can be overwhelming in small spaces.)
• Check the overhead bins for your personal items.
(Items left behind are turned in to lost and found.)
• Be aware of bus departure time when headed back
to Sun City.

Every time you travel on an outing planned by the Lifestyle De-
partment, you will receive a card to fill out and turn in at the Moni-
tor’s desk. We will draw a card monthly and the lucky winner will
receive 50% off one future day-bus trip! We will notify the winner
via phone and email.
