Seventeen members of the Sun City Texas Hiking Club traversed
Lake Georgetown’s Goodwater Loop on March 7 as part of an
annual club tradition, which began in the spring 2009. Three
separate groups tackled that formidable 27-mile trail. Resident
Jack Noble led a group of four fast-pace Marathoners, while
resident Mary Jane Berry led a second group of three Mara-
thoners at a more moderate pace around the lake’s 27-mile
circumference. The remaining 10 hikers were led by Kathy Cor-
bett and undertook a 13.5-mile Half-Marathon along the lake’s
south shore. Congratulations to these adventuresome athletes!
