HUNTING & FISHING CLUB
SUPPORTS AREA NONPROFITS
On March 22, Hunting & Fishing Club
President, Jim Grier, presented checks
totaling $5,500 to five area nonprofits.
The nonprofits included Honor Flight,
Girl Scouts of Central Texas (right), Texas
Brigade (below left), Ride on Center for
Kids (R.O.C.K.)(below right), and Boy
Scouts Capitol Area Council. The club
raises funds to support area nonprofits at
its annual Fish Fry, which will take place
on Saturday, May 11 in the Ballroom.
The Sun City Tennis Association held its Annual Team Tennis
Challenge March 14-17. The tournament consisted of six teams
representing six different countries for a total of 78 participants.
Everyone who entered got to play lots of tennis and a great
time was had by all. The tournament ended Sunday evening
with an awards dinner attend by 100 people and prepared by
our own tennis association member, Bert Perkins.
Team France came out the winner and Australia came in second
place. Brenda Latta did a fabulous job as tournament director,
with a lot of help from her tournament committee!!
