The SCARS business meeting will begin
with a networking session starting at
6:30 p.m. There will be a presentation
this month which will address the topic
of digital communication modes, espe-
cially PSK31.
The club also holds fox hunts on the sec-
ond Saturday of each month. These are
very enjoyable events where we track
down a hidden transmitter with direc-
tional antennas and ham radios. Check
the web site for details.
The Sun City Amateur Radio Club, or
SCARS, maintains the Sun City repeater
on the 70cm band at 441.625 MHz, plus
dup, pl tone 103.5. This repeater is open
for use by any licensed amateur operator.
Amateur radio operators consistently
give back to the community by aiding and
supporting the authorities in emergency
situations as well as by volunteering our
communications skills to help support
other events in the area.

be greatly missed, but expect his new

the future.
Our club website has lots more informa-

photos, table tennis lessons, how to get
instruction, and great table tennis vid-
eos you can download. $10 / year to join
the club for tournament play, club social

Table Tennis, an Olympic sport and a
great aerobic exercise, not only keeps you
fit but keeps your reflexes and eye-hand
coordination sharp and exercises your
brain. Besides, it’s fun!
If you are the last ones playing,
please make sure you put the tables
and equipment away when finished!
Please don’t walk awaywith the balls.
