members, to keep the vital services of
your club working smoothly, as they al-

Dancing Club

Do you like music and dance? Come join
us. Various dance styles are incorporated
into “lines” and danced to a variety of
musical genres. You don’t need a partner.
New and prospective members are en-
couraged to start on the first Wednesday
of the month. Residents are welcome to
attend three times before joining. Five
socials with special themes are held an-
nually in the Ballroom. Dues are just
$14 for the entire year.
Wednesdays – SCB (unless other-
wise notified)
Ultra-beginner: 1st Wednesday of each
month only: 12:30 p.m.
Level 1: 1 p.m.
Level 2: 2 p.m.
Level 3: 3 p.m.
Thursdays – CCG/CCF
Experienced-Beginner/Intermediate:
9 a.m.
Intermediate/Advanced: 10 a.m.
Sundays (1st, 3rd, 5th) – CCG/CCF
Level 1: 1:30 p.m.
Level 2: 2:30 p.m.

Country Western Pattern Dance:

bers meet in the Atrium from 6-8 p.m.
on the first, third, and fifth Thursdays of
each month. All Line Dance Club mem-
bers are welcome to participate in the
Pattern Dance sessions. Pattern danc-
ing is done by couples, but is not limited
to male and female partners. It is done
counterclockwise on the perimeter of the
dance floor utilizing many of the same
steps employed in line dancing.

Monthly dances provide traditional
country western dancing in the Ball-
room. Dances will have recorded music
or a live band.
Ice and water are provided. Please bring
your own beverages and snacks. The
May dance will be to recorded music.
Membership is $12 annually and covers
admission to monthly recorded dances;
however, additional fees may be charged
for special events. You can go online un-
der Clubs and Groups to pay dues or
make your check out to SCTXCA and
drop off or mail to Debbie Williams, 104

Come express your creativity with us! In
our 5 room studio, members create long-
lasting, 3-dimensional objects for both
practical use and visual beauty.
Equip-
ment, tools, glazes, brushes and clay
are sold to members at cost
and dues
are just $12 a year.
The studio is open every day of the week.
Members’ creations are displayed in the
windows of the club as well as on its web-
site above.
Come visit our studio behind the Fabric
& Fiber Club and learn about ceramics,
hand building, wheel throwing, and chi-
na painting. Monitors will gladly guide
you on a short tour and tell you about
upcoming classes.
Ceramics:
Existing forms, such as
plates, bowls, vases, animals, Christ-
mas trees, and Santa Clauses, can be
painted and glazed to your own design.
Hand Building:
For those who like to
sculpture from scratch, red or white,
and low- or high-fire clays are available.
When completed, objects are fired in one
of 5 resident kilns that are operated by
experiencedmembers. Beginners’ classes
are held frequently.
Wheel Throwing:
Wheel throwing is a
unique skill. Six potter’s wheels are avail-
able, and classes are held for both begin-
ning and more experienced members.
China Painting:
Create your own de-
signs on china. One room and one kiln
are designated for painted china objects,
such as dishes and cups. Contact Doro-
