LyndonB. Johnson’s ranch
and family home, dubbed “The Texas White
House,” sits along the Pedernales River near
Stonewall. Our first stop in this National His-
torical Park will be at the LBJ Visitor Center
(restrooms, drinks and gifts available). The RanchRoad takes us
by LBJ’s birthplace, the one room school house where he learned
to read, the homes of his parents and grandparents, the Johnson
FamilyCemetery, andAir ForceOneHalf – LBJ’s personal plane.
Our tour of the home gives us a glimpse into the life of our 36th
President and his family.
Following our tour, we will have an early dinner (5 p.m.) at the
delightful Chantilly Lace Country Inn, shaded by oaks and sur-
rounded by gardens. Dinner includes salad, roasted pork loin,
creamed potatoes, green beans, rolls, dessert, and tea or coffee.
After dinner we will make two stops along the Hill Country
Christmas Lights Trail. First we will see a “lighted forest,” over
one million lights created by the Pedernales Electric Coop. Sec-
ond stop is The Marble Falls Walkway of Lights featuring over
two million twinkling lights on 160 sculptures reflecting on the
waters of Lake Marble Falls.
Ticket cost includes transportation, entrance and tour fees, and
dinner.

and unpacking time, we will go to downtownGrapevine for shop-
ping and dinner on your own.
Wednesday evening:
After dinner we will attend a concert
featuring The Texas Tenors, the highest ranking vocal group in
the history of America’s Got Talent television show. JohnHagen,
Marcus Collins and JCFisher bring their unique blend of country,
gospel, classical and Broadway to the stage. With breathtaking
vocals, humor and cowboy charm The Texas Tenors have trav-
eled the globe performingmore than 500 concerts in the last four
years

Thursday morning:
We will enjoy a Christmas wonderland at
the Gaylord, and visit the world-renowned ICE! Exhibit at 11 a.m.
featuring Frosty the Snowman and friends in a frozen colorful
retelling of this classic Christmas story. See two million pounds
of frozen ice! New in 2014 is the Frostbite Factory where we
will watch masterful ice carvers from Harbin, China craft ice
sculptures.
Note: To stay comfortable inside the Ice! Exhibit, guests are
loaned oversized winter coats to wear. It gets pretty chilly, so be
sure to bring a hat and a pair of gloves.
On the way home we will stop at Babe’s Chicken Dinner House.
Lunch choices: chicken fried chicken, chicken fried steak, chicken
tenders, and fried chicken. There will also be vegetables from
which to choose. You will make your choice at the restaurant,
not when you purchase your ticket.

Dallas – NEW!

Celebrate the holidays with the
one-of-a-kind $2 million exhibit of the
Twelve
Days of Christmas
at the Dallas Arboretum
and Gardens. The exhibit features 15-foot-tall
gazebos, one for each day of the popular carol,
with each gazebo accompanied by Victorian costumed characters
andmusic. The gazebos are designed and built by the team that
creates sets and costumes for theDallas Opera, all locally sourced
fromTexas. Along with the exhibit, the DeGolyer Estate will be
decorated top to bottom with a collection of Christmas caroler
figurines from around the world. This private collection, on
loan for the holidays, truly compliments the Arboretum theme.
After viewing the gardens and estate, we travel to North Park
Mall, the premier shopping center of Texas, offering luxury as
well as traditional shopping. Their holiday decorations are a
must-see, including the Ronald McDonald train set. You will
be on your own to choose a cup of coffee, eat at one of the many
