Borneo &Madagascar: Worlds Apart
Paul and Ruth Lehman will report on
their recent visits to these intriguing,
yet little known sites. The rainforests of
Borneo are 130 million years old, among
the oldest in the world. Madagascar has
been geographically isolated since it
broke away from the African continent
135 million years ago. Both islands offer
unparalleled biodiversity and feature an
abundance of plants and animals that
exist nowhere else. These islands also
provide exceptional opportunities to view
wildlife in their natural surroundings.
Dues:
$12, which includes monthly pro-
grams and six SIGs.
