The following special events are taking place in November and early December.
WeSley FeST
Volunteers from The Wesleyan will be
hosting the 34th annual fundraiser Wes-
ley Fest on Saturday, November 2 from
9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There will be entertain-
ment, food, antiques, andmore! The event
will be held at The Wesleyan at Estrella
Assisted Living &Memory Care, 109 Es-
trella Crossing, corner of Williams Drive
and Estrella Crossing.
Free MeMOry lOSS SeMiNAr
On Tuesday, November 5, a seminar titled
“Top Ten Questions We Get Asked About
the Aging Brain,” will be presented by
Jared Benge, Ph.D., and Kerry O’Mahar,
Ph.D., neuropsychologists with the Scott &
White Health Care System. The seminar
will be from6:30-8:30 p.m. at TheWorship
Place. Legal matters will be addressed
by Charles Lance. Program sponsored by
Just Friends, Inc. and “Special Friends
Respite Program.”
G’TOWN FeSTivAl OF The ArTS
A Classic Chamber Concert Series will
be on Saturday, November 9 at 7:30 p.m.
at the Georgetown Public Library. Pia-
nist Toby Blumenthal presents the first
of a special new series of chamber music
concerts sponsored by the Georgetown
Festival of the Arts and the Round Rock
Symphony. The November program will
feature works by Mozart, Hindemith and
Brahms. Tickets ($25 for adults, $10 for
students) will be available at the door or

SNOWdeN Cup GOlF TOurNey
The M/Sgt. Ben D. Snowden VFW Post
8587 in Georgetown will host a golf tour-
nament on Veterans Day, Monday, No-
vember 11, at the Cowan Creek Golf Club
with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Entry is $75
per player and includes dinner after the
event. The VFW provides assistance to
Active Duty Military, our Veterans and
our Community. Proceeds will support
these efforts. All contributions are tax

On Tuesday, November 12, Southwestern
University will host the Writer’s Voice
event featuring novelist and short story
writer T. C. Boyle. The event is at 8 p.m.
in the Alma Thomas Theater. Admission
is free, but tickets are required. For more

KNiGhTS OF COluMbuS biNGO
Bingo in the Ballroom will be on Sun-
days, November 3 and 17 in the Social
Center Ballroom. Doors open at 5 p.m.,
and games start at 6 p.m. Cash prizes will
be awarded. All proceeds are used to sup-

The Kiwanis Club of Sun City is partner-
ing with the Salvation Army again this
year to raise funds for those in need this
holiday season. The campaign will run
fromNovember 28 to December 24. Last
year, Sun City residents donated over
$15,400! They’ve set a goal of $16,000 for

guides for the historicWilliamson County
Courthouse. Tours are offered on Fridays
