Tickets go on sale November 1 for the
Christmas concert to be held on Wednes-
day, December 4 and Thursday, December
5 at 7 p.m. in the Social Center Ballroom.
This is always a sell-out, so be sure to
purchase your reserved seat tickets as
soon as possible. The concert, titled “Re-
joice and Be Merry,” is a joyous collection
of traditional and contemporary holiday
music. Tickets can be purchased for $8 at
the Member Services Office or online at
. This event is also open
to non-residents.
Singers, please note on your calen-
dars that the “dress rehearsal” will
be on November 26 in the Ballroom.
The rehearsal on December 3, the
night before the first concert, will
be at Cowan Creek.
Mountain Dulcimer Players - SIG of

Ourmembers have been busy
presenting programs at nursing homes
throughout the Georgetown area. It’s not
too soon to start thinking about our Benefit
Concert for the Caring Place. The concert
is scheduled for Sunday, January 26 at 3
p.m. Mark your calendars folks, we want
a full house to support this worthy cause.
Practice is every Saturday from 10 a.m.
to 12 p.m., and every Tuesday from 6-8
p.m. You are welcome to visit. Free lessons
are offered for interested parties in Janu-

Veterans Day Military Softball
Games – November 11.
All branches
of the military will be represented: Air
Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and
Navy. Opening ceremonies will begin
shortly after the conclusion of the cer-
emonies at the Veterans Memorial Plaza.
Come on out and cheer on your veterans!
Grandkids Day at the Ballpark No-
vember 29, 10 a.m.
Last year’s program
was such a success, the club will be doing
it again this year. Bring out the grand-
kids and have fun watching them play.
Fall Season
The fall season is underway and runs
through November 21. Games are Mon-
days and Thursdays at 10 a.m., 11:30
a.m. and 1 p.m. Practice and pick-up
games are every Tuesday and Friday
at 9 a.m. Remember, it’s never too late
to sign up!
There is also a very active, self support-
ing Select Traveling Team, the
Sun
City Warriors
, for the more competi-
tive player.
Annual dues are $12 with an additional
$10 for each season. Once you sign up
you will be assigned a team.
We are proud to be part of the Sun City
Texas community. We support the Boys
&Girls Club of Georgetown, Georgetown
Police Blue Santa Program, and our Sun
City Veterans through the Fort Hood Of-
ficers Spouses Club assisting Fort Hood
families.

The Solos Club is a family of friends who
enjoy barbecue, dining out, wine tasting,
bowling, golf, movies and lunch, canasta,
social bridge, Mah Jongg, pickleball, tub-
ing, dancing, books, day trips, and giving
back to the community through Solos Care.
If you want to have fun, come join us!
The 2013 dues to join Solos are $10 for
newmembers, $20 for renewing members
and may be paid at the Member Services
Office. You may start paying your 2014
Dues on December 1, either online or at
the Member Services Office.

It’s the G-R-O-O-V-Y ’60s!
Come with
us down memory lane on Wednesday,
November 13 as we celebrate the music of
the ’60s with Off The Record, a fabulous
Rock’n’Roll band from Austin. Whether
you were a Pat Boone, Elvis, or Wood-
stock fan, there’ll be something for you!
Our evening will start in the Ballroom
at the Lava Lights Bar, then proceed to
a sumptuous meal before the entertain-
ment begins. Watch your email for more
about this fun and groovy ’60s evening!
Thirsty Thursday
is a weekly social
event at The Oaks from 5-6:30 p.m.,
where Solos meet for fun, fellowship and
sometimes food. Newcomers are warmly
welcomed! Our membership Committee
will greet you and introduce you to some
of our Solos.
Whether you are new to Sun City Texas,
recently single or just want to be a part of
