Guy & Pip Gillette, Classic Cowboy Tunes
Friday, March 1, Atrium, 6 - 8 p.m., $10 pp
Open seating - Theater Style
Making their rounds back to Georgetown
from Crockett, Texas, the Gillette brothers
provide an authentic sound of the Old West.
The revitalization of cowboy music and poetry
in recent years has allowed the brothers to
combine their life long interest in the history of the West and its
music with their musical experience. They have recorded and
released six albums of traditional cowboy music interspersed
with a few originals.
PERKWinner – VirginiaWarner
Virginia Warner is our Perk Card win-
ner this month. Her most recent out-
ing was to the ever popular Esther’s
Follies.
Activities with Jenny
Because we get quite a few questions about
refunds, ticket purchasing policies, and re-
selling tickets, I would like to take an oppor-
tunity to review our CA policy. It is printed
here for you as well as on our website. (Go
to
> Activities and Events >
then Ticket Policy.)
• All tickets are non-refundable, with no exchanges. It is your
responsibility to resell the ticket to another resident if you
are unable to attend an onsite event or bus outing.
How to resell: (1) Check with the Member Services Office
(948-7720) to see if there are potential buyers on the Ticket
Resale List. (2) Post a For Sale notice on the Sun City Web
Site. (Go to
> Communications > Resident
Forum > CA Ticket Exchange.) (3) Post a For Sale notice on
the bulletin boards in the Social Center and/or Cowan Creek
lobbies, space available. (Stop by the Monitor’s Desk to post.)
When you sell bus outing tickets, call 948-7393 with the
following information: (1) the event; (2) ticket numbers; (3)
the names and phone numbers of the persons to whom you
sold the tickets.
• Residents may purchase up to 10 tickets for dances/events
and up to 4 tickets for bus trips. For overnight bus trips, each
household may purchase one double occupancy ticket (which
allows for two people in hotel room) OR one single ticket (for
one person in hotel room).
• If event details are altered, the ticket purchaser will be
notified via email. If multiple tickets have been purchased,
it is purchaser’s responsibility to relay information to other
members of their party about such changes.
PERK Cards!
Every time you travel on an outing planned by the Lifestyle Department,
you will receive a card to fill out and turn in at the Monitor’s desk. We will
draw a card monthly and the lucky winner will receive 50% off one future
day-bus trip! We will notify the winner via phone and email.
purchase your tickets for CA Sponsored Events at
or at the Member Services Office.
Tickets for activities listed for the first time will be available
Friday, March 1, at 8 a.m.
“20th Century Follies”
Friday & Saturday, March 1-2, 7 p.m., SCB, $14 pp
Amusical tribute to the 10 decades of the 20th
Century. Relive this amazing century by trav-
eling through the decades from the 1900s to
1999 with the talented Sun City performers.
Actors and singers will take you with them
as they perform songs such as “Sentimental Journey,” “Bye
Bye Blackbird,” “I’ve Got You Babe,” and all those great old
patriotic army songs. Enjoy classic dance routines from Sun
City dance groups like the “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy” and
“Dancing Queen.” It will be an action-packed night guaranteed
to please with laughter, skits and music. Tickets are $14 and
are available online, at the Member Services Office, or at the
door each night, if available. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the
show starts promptly at 7 p.m.
20th Century Follies
is under
the direction of Colleen Sigley.
•When purchasing bus outing tickets for others, be prepared to
submit a list of names and menu selections for those guests
at time of purchase.
• Unless otherwise noted, tickets for onsite events which have
not sold out will be available to the public at the Member
Services Office and also online 48 hours prior to the event.
Events not sold out will have tickets available for purchase
at the door 30 minutes prior to the event.
• All ticket sales are first come, first served. Tickets become
available for new events the first business day of each month
at 8 a.m. and can be purchased online at
or at the Member Services Office. We do not take phone
reservations; nor do we place reservations on hold.
• Many “hot” items sell out quickly so plan to purchase tickets
as early as possible. Some events may have deadlines for
ticket purchase. Check your Sun Rays or online Activities
Calendar for information.
• Short Term Renters will not have online ticket purchas-
ing capabilities; tickets must be purchased at the Member
Services Office.
