An important General Membership
Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday,
March 20. Proposed bylaw changes will
be voted upon. All members are encour-
aged to attend.
Country Western Pattern Dance:

net. Members meet in the Atrium from
6-8 p.m. on first, third, and fifth Thurs-
days of each month. All Line Dance Club
members are welcome to participate in
the Pattern Dance sessions. Pattern
dancing is done by couples, but is not
limited to male and female partners. It is
done counterclockwise on the perimeter
of the dance floor utilizing many of the
same steps employed in line dancing.

Monthly dances provide traditional
country western dancing in the Ball-
room. Dances will have recorded music
or a live band. Ice and water are pro-
vided. Please bring your own beverages
and snacks. The March dance will be to
recorded music.
Membership is $12 annually and covers
admission to monthly recorded dances;
however, additional fees may be charged
for special events. You can go online to
the Sun City website under Clubs &
Interest Groups to pay dues or make
your check out to SCTXCA and either
drop it off or mail it to Debbie Williams,

Come express your creativity with us!
In our five-room studio, members create
long-lasting, three-dimensional objects
for both practical use and visual beauty.
Equipment, tools, glazes, brushes and
clay are sold to members at cost and dues
are just $12 a year.
The studio is open every day of the week.
Members’ creations are displayed in the
windows of the club, as well as on its website.
Come visit our studio behind the Fabric
& Fiber Club and learn about ceramics,
hand building, wheel throwing, and china
painting. Monitors will gladly guide you
on a short tour and tell you about upcom-
ing classes. Enjoy fun and companionship
in this friendly atmosphere.
Ceramics:
Existing forms, such as
plates, bowls, vases, animals, Christmas
trees, and Santa Clauses, can be painted
and glazed to your own design.
Hand Building:
For those who like to
sculpture from scratch, red or white,
and low- or high-fire clays are available.
All supplies are sold at cost to members!
When completed, objects are fired in one
of five resident kilns that are operated by
experienced members. Beginners’ classes
are held frequently.
Wheel Throwing:
Wheel throwing is
a unique skill. Six potter’s wheels are
available, and classes are held for both be-
ginning and more experienced members.
China Painting:
Create your own de-
signs on china. One room and one kiln
are designated for painted china objects,
such as dishes and cups. Those interested
in a beginning class in china painting,

Interested in joining a fun dance/drill
group, getting lots of exercise with prac-
tices and performances in shows and
parades, and feeling good performing
for nursing homes in our community?
Drop by any Thursday practice at Cowan
Creek to watch the Georgettes dance.
A new beginners class will start on
March 14 at 3 p.m. in the Jarrell/Wal-
burg room at Cowan Creek.

Clogging is both great fun and good ex-
ercise. Beginners: 9:15-10:15 a.m. on Fri-
days. Experienced Cloggers: 10:15 a.m.
to 12:15 p.m. on Fridays. Beginners may
start the first Friday of each January.
Many of our Sun City cloggers perform
in the Follies each year. In addition, we
perform for nursing homes and other spe-
cial groups in our community. You are
welcome to stop by on some Friday morn-
ing and watch the cloggers. Our members
are warm and welcoming!
Tap Dancing:
Wednesdays: 1 p.m., Be-

2nd Chance Dance:
