We will start in Johnson City with lunch at Chantilly Lace. Our
meal will consist of salad, grilled chicken, potatoes au gratin,
green beans, homemade bread, and a choice between two des-
serts, as well as coffee or tea. Then it is on to Fredericksburg
where you will have a little time to wander through the shops
or do whatever you wish.
Following that, we will head to the Rockbox Theater to see the
show that celebrates the golden era of Rock and Roll. Currently
rated the #2 attraction in all of Texas by Trip Adviser, you can
check out the reviews on line. It’s a definite winner! Our reserved
seats will be waiting for us when we arrive.
The trip isn’t over yet, though, as we will stop at the Wildflower
SeedFarmbefore heading home. You can choose to amble through
the gardens, or you may wish to pick up some plants or seeds
for your own yard. Storage under the bus will accommodate
your purchases.
Ticket price includes transportation, lunch, Rockbox Theater
ticket, and a stop at the Wildflower Seed Farm.

dinner at Cool River Café. First is a delicious
Forks salad, followed by your choice of salmon,
steak, or vegetarian ravioli inmeatlessmarina-
ra sauce. All meals include seasonal vegetables
and potato. Dessert will be a chocolate lover’s dream– white and
dark chocolate mousse cake is a melt-in-your-mouth treat. This
restaurant’s romantic ambience enhances your dining pleasure.
After dinner, wewill head to the Bass Concert Hall to seeMillion
Dollar Quartet, the Tony Award winning Broadway musical,
inspired by the electrifying true story of the famed recording
session that brought together rock ‘n’ roll icons Elvis Presley,
Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins for the first
and only time.
This thrillingmusical brings you inside the recording studiowith
these four major talents who came together as a red-hot rock ‘n’
roll band for one unforgettable night. OnDecember 4, 1956, they
were gathered together by Sam Phillips, the “Father of Rock ’n’
Roll” at Sun Records in Memphis for what would be one of the
greatest jam sessions of all time. Million Dollar Quartet brings
that legendary night to life with an irresistible tale of broken
promises, secrets, betrayal and celebrations featuring timeless
hits including “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Great Balls of Fire,” “IWalk
the Line,” “Whole Lotta Shakin’ Goin’ On,” “Who Do You Love?,”

You will have box lunches to enjoy at your leisure. Choose from
turkey with Muenster cheese on croissant OR roast beef with
cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread. Each lunch includes a
bottle of water, chips and a cookie.
We’ll park the bus inWarrenton and stay for about two and a half
hours; then head to Round Top for more shops, poking around
the square or hunting for that piece of Royer’s Pie. We will make
a stop in Giddings at Buc-ee’s both ways.
Note: This adventure is not suitable for handicapped or
the “faint of heart.” Youwill be on your own and on your
feet as you shop. Bring your ownwater, a hat, sunscreen,
hand sanitizer, cash and a checkbook (some places do
not take charge cards). You might also want to bring a
tote or rolling cart.

TPC San Antonio Oaks Course
Thursday, April 4, $38 pp
Depart SCPL 7:30 a.m.; Return 6:30 p.m.
Join us as we travel to San Anto-
nio for the first round of the 2013 Valero Texas
Open. For the first time in its history, the Open
will be held the week before the Masters Tour-
nament as it returns for its fourth year to the
beautiful TPC San Antonio Oaks Course, a Greg Norman sig-
nature golf course. This official tour event is the longest running
tournament in the same city on the PGA tour and, as a warm-up
for the Masters, the 2013 Valero Texas Open will feature world
class PGA tour competition. Enjoy walking along with your fa-
vorite golf professional or pick a hole where you can sit and enjoy
the action.
Note: Therewill be extensivewalking, rain or shine, and
large crowds at this outdoor event. Wear comfortable
shoes, and bring your folding chairs and umbrella.
Ticket cost includes transportation and tournament admission.
