Fort Hood “The Great Place” - NEW!
Thursday, March 21, $21 pp
Depart SCPL 9 a.m.; Return 4 p.m.
HOO-AH! (who-ah), adj. U.S.
Army or Marine Slang. Referring to, or mean-
ing anything and everything except “no.” We
are heading to Fort Hood, home of some of the
bravest fighting men and women in the U.S.
Army. They are infantrymen, cavalrymen, tankers, engineers,
mechanics and health care professionals. Fort Hood is the largest
active duty armored post in the United States Armed Services.
Upon arrival at the main gate, a Fort Hood Soldier will board
the bus and stay with us throughout the day. Requests to visit
different units have been made to the III Corps Public Affairs
Officer. Due to themission of Fort Hood and its soldiers, the final
decision as to which units are available for our visit is made by
the PAO. Lunch will be at the dining facility. This tour requires
getting on and off the bus several times and walking on uneven
ground. Cameras and cell phones are permitted. You should bring
any snacks you may want with you. Cookies for the soldiers are
always welcome; they should be in a zip lock bag or disposable
container.
Note: Bring your driver’s license or some formof govern-
ment issued ID with a picture.

Spamalot
Saturday, March 23, $94 pp
Depart SCPL 12:45 p.m.; Return 5:45 p.m.
You think you know thie story of King Ar-
thur? Come along for a retelling of this legend
that onlyEric Idle, JohnCleeves, andTerryGil-
liam, original cast members of Monty Python’s
Flying Circus, could tell. Lovingly ripped-off
from their 1975 smash hit “Monty Python and the Holy Grail,”
“Spamalot” is a Tony Awardwinningmusical comedy that pokes
fun of pop culture and Broadway shows – both gleefully silly yet
wickedly smart. Our story begins inCamelot, featuring “The Lady
of the Lake and her Laker Girls” as the headliner. AsKingArthur
recruits his Knights and begins his quest, meet Sir Bedevere
theWise, Sir Lancelot the Brave, Sir Galahad the Pure, and Sir
Robin the Not-Quite-So-Brave. Come for a laugh-’til-your-sides-
ache, razzle-dazzle performance to the familiar sound of clomping
coconut shells, rousing applause and a reminder to always “look
on the bright side of life.”
Note: No meal included; snacks and drinks available
at the Long Center before the show and during the 20
minute intermission. Show time - 2 hours.
Ticket cost includes transportation and orchestra seats at the
Long Center.
