Celebrate a Sun City
tradition with others from our community!
After checking in at the Hilton Palacio del
Rio, enjoy a little free time before our Thanks-
giving feast. After our meal, we will have our
own private river cruise starting at dusk where we’ll see the
beauty of the holiday lights as they light up the River Walk.
Some stores with great sales are scheduled to be open at the
River Walk Mall on Thanksgiving evening. On Friday morn-
ing you will have time to explore San Antonio on your own.
If you wish, youmay purchase two tickets for this outing so that
you may invite non-Sun City residents to go with you. Exclu-
sion: No one under age 18 is allowed with our group.
Ticket cost includes transportation, Thanksgiving meal, river
cruise (including tip), and hotel.

Homestead Village Craft Fair – Waco – NEW!

Crisp autumn air, jingling draft
horse harnesses, the aroma of smoked meats
and fresh-baked breads set the stage for the
27th annual Homestead Village Craft Fair.
This traditional crafts village showcases a
community of craftsmen who have returned not to the past,
but to the enduring values of hand-craftsmanship.
The lineup of activities and demonstrations is extensive: sheep-
dog herding, barn raising, blacksmithing, butter and cheese
making, wood working, gardening, and quilting. Take a horse-
drawn hayride, try your hand at basket weaving, or just stroll
the grounds and sample the fresh homemade assortment of
tempting foods – from apple cider, cheeses, shish-kabobs, pas-
tries and breads to BBQ. Afternoon musical entertainment
includes gospel, bluegrass and toe-tapping country favorites.
Note: Dress for outdoor weather and walking on uneven grounds.
Ticket cost includes transportation and entrance to fair.

This gem of a performance hall,
with its rich array of musicians, brings us all
kinds of music from around the world. To-
night we will enjoy a stage full of UT students
performing lively jazz music. These diverse
students from many countries and representing various age
groups blend together perfectly.
Before the concert, we head to the Domain for dinner on your
own, at one of their many restaurants. Some of the eateries
include California Pizza Kitchen, Gloria’s, North, Albert Finn
and Starbuck’s. If you finish dinner early, you have time for a
little shopping. Drop-off and re-boarding is at Jasper’s.
Ticket cost includes transportation, concert and driver tip.

Our evening begins with dinner at
Trio Restaurant at the Four Seasons Hotel.
Dinner menu: mixed salad, famous pork chop,
Texas olive oil mashed potatoes, steamed
asparagus, and dessert. Soft drink, tax and
tip included.
After dinner we will arrive at the Long Center in time for the
informative pre-concert talk.
AustinSymphonyOrchestra and guest pianist Kiyoshi Tamagawa
will performMozart’s Piano Concerto No. 25 in C Major, one of
his most symphonic concerto movements. Also hear Mozart’s
Overture to
Cosi fan tutte
, opening with a slow introduction
leading into an effervescent presto. Repertoire also includes
Schubert’s Symphony No. 9 in CMajor, subtitled
Great
, a refer-
ence to the symphony’s majesty. Can you guess what is common
among all three pieces?
Kiyoshi Tamagawa, Professor of Music at SouthwesternUniver-
sity, has performed as a soloist and collaborative pianist through-
out North America, England and Asia.
