own. An evening visit to the Kwahadi Indian Museum will
feature dinner, viewing the museum, and a dance demonstra-
tion by Kwahadi dancers.
Wednesday
- We head to Palo Duro canyon with a tour by Ber-
nice Blasengame as step-on guide. We will return to Canyon for
lunch on your own followed by a visit to the PanhandleMuseum.
Thursday -
We will visit the Caprock State Park, known for
its herd of buffalo, with a box lunch included at the park.
Friday –
A day of travel back to Sun City Texas.

market shoppers! Canton’s First Monday Trade
Days, one of the most popular attractions in
Texas, is a mammoth venue for as many as
6,000 vendors selling everything from brand
new Western paraphernalia to garage sale kitsch.
Beginning early with a rest break at Collin Street Bakery
(Waco), we will arrive in Canton close to lunch time. You will be
provided a box lunch, which youmay eat on the bus if you prefer.
Sandwich choices (when you purchase ticket): roasted turkey
with Muenster cheese on croissant OR Black Forest ham with
Swiss on croissant. Chips, chocolate chip cookie and bottle of
water included. After a day of shopping we will return viaWaco
for a rest stop where you can purchase snacks or a sandwich.
Note: Comfortablewalking shoes, a hat, layers of clothing,
sunscreen, bottledwater are musts. If you have a tote on
wheels, bring it along. Some vendors accept credit cards;
many accept only cash. There will be plenty of room in
the lower compartment of the bus for larger purchases.
Ticket cost includes transportation and lunch.

Next is the luxurious Omni hotel where we will be staying. The
hotel, located in the heart of Dallas, is close to restaurants,
shops, entertainment and more.
Saturday morning we will tour the Cowboy Stadium and in the
afternoonwe visit Dealey Plaza, where The Sixth FloorMuseum
chronicles the assassination and legacy of President John F.
Kennedy. Saturday evening will be on your own for dinner.
Sunday morning we go to Pioneer Park, second only to Dealey
Plaza as the most-visited landmark in downtown Dallas. The
site features native plants and trees and a flowing stream in a
natural setting and a bronze re-creation of a cattle drive with
longhorn steers being driven by three cowboys on horses.
Our final stop will be the George W. Bush Library, the reposi-
tory for presidential gifts and other donated artifacts relating
to the life and career of President George W. Bush and Mrs.
Laura Bush.
Ticket cost includes transportation, hotel, entrance fees and
lunch at Southfork Ranch.

Oktoberfest in Fredericksburg

Come along to one of the country’s
premier Oktoberfest events, an annual tradi-
tion held around the world. Join in a colorful,
festive celebration of Fredericksburg’s German
heritage. Oktoberfest is a community event
of family entertainment featuring three stages of continuous
oompah music, arts and crafts, a German Bier Tent, an Ok-
toberfest Vineyard area, delicious food and lots of cold drinks.
After arriving, you will have the day to enjoy live music, dance,
and sample great food and drink. Please plan on having break-
fast before we leave or bring your own snacks and coffee to enjoy
on the bus. Lunch is on your own, and we will leave the festival
promptly at 5 p.m. to return to Sun City. Ticket cost includes
transportation, driver’s tip, and admission ticket.
