Newmembers:
Sign up for Orientation
& Safety Training at the Woodshop.
The Woodworkers Club invites you to
stop by the Woodshop and see the many
wood projects and craft items for sale.
We’d be happy to give you a guided tour
of our facility, talk about your idea for a
wood project, or just chat.
The Woodworkers Club is open to all Sun
City Texas residents of all skill levels.
All new members are required to take
the Orientation and Safety Class, as well
as a one-on-one, hands-on Safety Train-
ing Session.
Our training classes and extensive li-
brary (paper and digital) help our mem-
bers plan projects and enjoy woodworking.
We have several main club projects we
work on during the year, including: “Toys
for Tots,” to provide wooden toys for less
fortunate children at Christmas; and
“Camp Discovery,” to provide wooden kit
projects to a summer camp for children
fighting cancer.
To raise funds for these projects we sell
craft items at the woodshop through-
out the year, do Furniture Repair at the
Woodshop and sell craft items at the an-
nual Hill Country Arts & Craft Fair in
the fall.

RED SHOULDERED HAWK
Marsha Guys writes, “My husband took this picture of a red-shouldered hawk in
our back tree. He has a nest in the greenbelt behind our property and we see
him swooping down and catching his prey a lot back here!”
