The Board of Directors (President, Sha-
ron Tillisch; Vice President, Dean Gin-

Menchaca) meets quarterly and provides
leadership and direction for the club.
Club members are encouraged to attend
all open Board meetings. Check the club
website for news, events, tournaments,
photos, and other materials related to club
activities and table tennis. Yearly dues are
$10 per person and can be paid on the Sun
City Texas website or by taking a check
to the Member Services Office.

Open tennis is a time when any resident
can come and play without making a res-
ervation on courts reserved for this pur-
pose; all levels of play are welcome. Courts
are reserved for Monday and Wednesday
evenings and Friday mornings. Current
hours are posted on bulletin board. A
SCTTA coordinator is there to get play
started.
Open Tennis Coordinators
are Maxine Giles, 512-869-0300, and
Carolyn Griffin, 512-869-1239.
Any resident may reserve a court; each
day at 5 p.m. a random draw is held at the
gazebo for those residents in attendance
to reserve a court for play two days in
advance. Sign-up sheets are located at
the bulletin board.
New and potential residents inter-
ested in learning about tennis in Sun
City Texas and the Georgetown area,
contact George Price, a long-time
resident and tennis instructor, to
meet and discuss various ways to get

Club socials and tournaments are sched-

each year, using various doubles formats.

May 7 at 1:30 p.m. in the Florence Room
at Cowan Creek will feature Larry Prel-
lop, owner of the Larry Prellop Art Gal-
lery in Salado. He specializes in bluebon-
net scenery, Hill Country landscapes,
and seascapes. Larry will also teach
classes June 9-11.
Summer Show:
The Summer Show is
scheduled for Sunday, June 1 from 2-5
p.m. at the Activities Center. Original
artwork will be available for purchase
(Visa and Mastercard are accepted). En-
joy art demonstrations and refreshments!
Book Fair:
On Saturday, May 10, from
noon to 5 p.m. at the Georgetown Li-
brary, 10 VAC members will display
large-format art, expressing the impor-
tance of “Reading and Writing.”
