RETURNING SOLDIERS DRIVE
At the request of their son, Army First Lieutenant Andrew
Hughes, Sam and Elaine Hughes, joined by their neighbors
in N52, began a collection drive in July 2013 for items to
send soldiers returning fromAfghanistan. By August, N52
had gathered 217 pounds of items! In October, Sam and
Elaine represented N52 and Sun City Texas at Fort Drum,
New York, and were given a Certificate of Appreciation
from Lieutenant Colonel Derek Jansen.
stained glass club shines on
Ginger Gary created this kiln glass piece using various
sizes of frit and finished the background in stained
glass. She used fire-proof paint for the window and
door detail.
N10 Soup and Sandwich Party
Neighborhood 10 residents met at The Oaks for a Soup
and Sandwich Party. Neighbors enjoyed the many
types of tasty soup prepared by resident chefs. Pictured
