Newly retired or a new resident to Sun
City Texas? Looking for a fun hobby that
you never had time to pursue? We build
them and we run them: airplanes, sail-
boats, helicopters, powerboats, cars, and
off-roaders. Come and learn how to do it
with a group just like you―we have lots
of members, men and women, new to the
hobby along with some seasoned hobbyists
who will show you how. We’re just over two
years old and we’ve grown to more than
140 members. We even have a computer-
controlled Flight Simulator if you don’t
want to do the “live stuff.” We “fly it” at
the weekly meetings. We also fly heli’s
and small airplanes in the ballroom one
Sunday a month and do other “fun stuff”
at Berry Creek Pond and our off-site fly-
ing place for the gas and large airplanes.
May Schedule:
Ballroom fly-in and car-
driving on Sunday, May 4: 11:30 a.m. to
1:30 p.m. will be rotor craft, and 1:30-3:30
p.m. will be fixed winged aircraft. Boating
at Berry Pond will be on Sunday, May
25, 1 p.m. Oh yes, informal sailing every
Tuesday and Saturday at 10 a.m. at Berry
Creek Pond. No cars/off road vehicles in
the ballroom in the month of May.
We fly small electric airplanes on the golf
course driving ranges onMondays when a
course is closed for play. We also fly every
evening at the Cowan Creek driving range
after the pro-shop is closed. We need light
wind conditions to fly so our flying usu-
ally takes place in the early mornings or
evenings. If you see us out flying, stop by
and say hello.

gust whenmanymembers are traveling.
Two more RV Club trips are planned for
2014: May to the Breaux Bridge Loui-
siana Crawfish Festival and October
to the Albuquerque International Bal-
loon Fiesta. Additional trips are being
planned for the year. Details and contact
information are available on the website.
Members are encouraged to sign up as
soon as possible.
The RV Club brings together those
residents of our active lifestyle com-
munity who also enjoy the RV lifestyle.
The result is a great combination for
friendships, travel and adventure. We
currently number nearly 100 rigs of vir-
tually every style and configuration. Our
members organize group RV trips to a
wide variety of destinations throughout
the year; they are listed on our website.
We meet once a month except June, July
and August when many of our members
are away traveling. Interested residents
can find membership and other infor-
mation on the club website or from our
