The game of bocce is a great way to par-
ticipate in a little friendly competition
and meet some of your fellow Sun City
Texas residents. We do invite those who
have not tried it to come out and test
your skills.
Two members rolled 5-point frames this
month: Don Webb and Redge Heard.
Congratulations to both!
Bocce Fact of the Month:
Our equip-
ment consists of nine balls. The small-
est of these is called the pallino. It is
rolled onto the court at the start of each
frame and acts as the target. A set of four
larger bocce balls, each weighing about
two pounds, is rolled by each team in an
effort to get them as close to the pallino
as possible. The scoring rules are posted
on the bulletin board near the courts.
