The club hosts at least five sponsored tour-
naments each year, typically followed by
a luncheon:

To join the club, the annual dues are $15,
which can be paid online or at theMember

playday is $3 to enter, which can be paid at

Why Play with the MGA?
In a recent MGA article by Presi-
dent Mike Pender, he noted that
the top three reasons members
played were: 1) they got to play
with different players; 2) they en-
joyed the multiple game formats
in use; and 3) they enjoyed the
camaraderie and competition.
W
ith amembership of around 600
men, the Men’s Golf Associa-
tion (MGA) in Sun City Texas
complements the lifestyle our community
provides. Our three golf courses provide
ample opportunities for playdays, tourna-
ments and casual play among friends—
for our residents. The MGA’s goal is to
promote fellowship and sportsmanship
among members, all the while enjoying
a game of golf.
TheMGA is made up of both 18-hole play-
ers and 9-hole players, who generally play
during their respective tee times. Play-
days are every Wednesday morning, and
the venue changes often, as does the game
format. For instance, one week the 9-Hol-
ers will play a two-man team scramble on
