Plant Demonstration Garden in early
March, when plants will be coming back
from the hard freezes we’ve had. Come by

Hunting Director Ber-
nie Long recently went on a wildcat hunt
in New Mexico. Bernie will present a de-
tailed narration of his adventure, includ-
ing a slide presentation.
Membership:
Dues are $12 for single
person, $20 for two persons in the house-

Fishing:
There are a variety of fishing
trips planned for 2014; check the club

Hunting:
Spring turkey hunts are avail-
able and trips are planned. The club has
arrangements for quail hunting on a pre-
serve in Dime Box, about an hour away.
High-fence game preserve hunting is

Hog hunting:

Sport shooting:
Members organize out-
ings that include skeet, trap and sport-
ing clays, as well as pistol shooting, at
the Best of the West near Liberty Hill.
Skeet and trap shooting is every Thurs-
day at 8:30 a.m. Pistol shooting at a vari-
ety of targets in various scenarios is the
first Friday at 9 a.m. Target shooting at
Best of the West or Eagle Peak in Lean-
der is every first and third Wednesday.

styles are incorporated into “lines” and
danced to a variety of musical genres.
And you don’t need a partner! Come
join us.
New and prospective members are en-
couraged to start on the first Wednes-
day of each month. Residents are
welcome to attend three times before
joining. Dues are just $14 for the year.
Five socials with special themes are
held annually in the ballroom.

first, third and fifth Thursdays of each
month. All Line Dance Club members
are welcome to participate in the Pat-
tern Dance sessions. Pattern dancing
is done by couples, but is not limited
to male and female partners. It utilizes
many of the same steps employed in
line dancing.
