Dulcimers - a SIG of Singers
We want to take this opportunity to thank
everyone who attended our January 26
concert and especially for their generous
contributions to The Caring Place Food
Bank. The numbers are in: We were able
to donate $2,064.91, and the food donated
totaled 362 pounds.
Practice is every Saturday morning from
10 a.m. to noon and every Tuesday evening
from 6-8 p.m. You are welcome to visit.

As one of the few spectator sports in Sun
City Texas, we invite you to come watch,
come play, come have some fun….at beau-
tiful Del Webb Field! Check out the new
grandstand cover; it makes watching the
games more comfortable and enjoyable.
The spring season is underway and runs
through the end May. Games are onMon-
days and Thursdays at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m.,
noon, and 1:30 p.m.
Practice and pick-up games are every
Tuesday and Friday at 10:30 a.m.
There is also a very active, self support-
ing traveling team, the Sun City War-
riors, for the more competitive player.
Annual dues are $12 with an additional
$10 for each season.
We are proud to be part of the Sun City
Texas community. We support the Boys
& Girls Club of Georgetown, University
of Texas Longhorn Softball, Georgetown
Police Blue Santa Program, and our Sun
City Texas veterans through the Ft. Hood
Officers Spouses Club, assisting Ft. Hood
families.

The Solos chartered club is open to all Sun
City Texas residents. Our goal is to have a
good time by participating in social, intel-
lectual and sporting activities, including
bowling, golf, pickleball, card games, day
trips, book clubs, wine tastings, etc.
The 2014 Solos dues are $20 and may be
paid at the Sun City Texas website or at
the Member Services Office.
The Solos chartered club encourages you to
attend three Solos’ activities before joining.
Come check us out—you’ll be glad you did!
Upcoming Social Events
Solos’ regular weekly Happy Hour is held
every Thursday at The Oaks from 5:30-
7 p.m. On March 20, our potluck Happy
Hour will start at 4:30 p.m. so Solos can
leave for a special event: the Austin To-
ros basketball game. The bus will depart
fromThe Oaks to travel to the Cedar Park
Center.
March Madness
Mark your calendars for our first Quar-
terly Dinner/BusinessMeeting onWednes-
day, March 26 at 6 p.m. in the Social Cen-
ter Ballroom. Our theme for this event is
MarchMadness and we will be enjoying a
Tailgate Party, a specially created Bingo
game for all to participate and a few spe-
cial guests from the Austin Toros. So get
ready to wear your basketball jersey to
support your favorite team and come join
the fun. Watch your email for further in-
formation. Guests are invited to attend
this event.

The Stained Glass Studio is open week-
days from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. While you
are out enjoying the spring weather,
come in and visit the studio, chat with
members who are working on projects
and browse the members’ art pieces that
are for sale.
The next Orientation to Stained Glass
Class will be in April. Watch the April
Sun Rays
for further information. If you
want to join the club and have experience
in doing stained glass work, feel free to
come by the studio and discuss member-
ship with one of the current officers.
