mally 1 p.m. during the winter months,
but some members may be playing in the
mornings as the weather gets warmer.
Membership dues for this year remain at
$12 per person. New players and guests
are always welcome. Practice balls are
available in the unlocked containers at
the courts for anyone who would like to
give it a try. If you choose to come at the
regular club times we will show you how
the game is played. In five minutes you
will be an expert!
No players were able to score five points
in a frame this month.
The first social league of the year will
be starting on March 20 and will run
for five weeks to April 17. Teams are
composed of one male and one female
and games will be played at 4 p.m. each
week.
Bocce Fact of the Month:
Although
bocce may be played on any relatively flat
area such as a lawn, the more formalized
game uses a court. The court is 60-90
feet long and 8-12 feet wide with walls on
all four sides to control the area of play.
